done dirt cheap

Frank has been busy the past couple of days building me some raise beds on the south side of the house.  There were several old brush piles that were full of good soil that we are using.

When the land was cleared the bush was piled, and after two years they were burnt. Than the piles were re-piled. Almost every brush pile on our place, had topsoil in it. The piles were left to rot. These brush piles are probably close to twenty years old, if not older. These old brush piles make for good soil for building up a veggie garden or flower beds.

We don't have a hoist box on our old green bomb. So the only way the soil comes off, is by shoveling.

We had lots of help. Frank Jr's friend, Morgan was visiting, and was put to work.
